Liberal Education Talk: Embracing the Everyday

Andy Brogan - Speaker

The challenges facing us are myriad: climate change, war, migration, right-wing extremism, energy security, poverty, oppression on the basis of gender, sexuality, race, creed, bodies, and minds, the list goes on. This talk is about the potential of everyday action as a response to all these challenges. Along the way I will play with a consideration of a simple ‘Yes’ and ‘No’, how we might find gaps in the everyday, and how to care for ourselves as an integral part of our personal responses to the world. I make the case for embracing everyday action as a transformative mode of being that simultaneously addresses the self, others, and the wider world.
