The Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) is introducing a new paradigm that promises positive reforms for the evaluation of ecosystem services. The paradigm includes two key concepts (Nature’s Contributions to People and Indigenous and Local Knowledge) to counter the deterioration of the environment and the consequences of climate change.
