In this paper one of the so-called Huēhuètlàtōlli, written in 1547 by native schol-
ars of the Franciscan missionaries, is analyzed from the perspective of Global History. My pragmatic analysis of this partial representation of the complex religious space in New Spain seeks to broaden our understanding of the Early Colonial Age. Considered as “the spiritual conquest of New Spain” in the past (Ricard 1946), here it is perceived as the first phase of the communicative production of multiple transreligious and glocal spaces in the Americas due to the imposition of colonial relations by mission.
