In the case of reinforced concrete components the concrete cover is sometimes insufficiently thick or dense. For later improvement of corrosion protection for the reinforcement, components of concrete restoration systems such as fillers and protective paint, flexible sealing mixtures or air-placed mortar/concrete are primarily used. The long-term and time-compression tests show that these measures as a whole are effective and sensible.
