N2 - The globalisation of Chinese economic interests is expanding more and more on the African continent. After the phase of Perestroika the perspectives of Chinese-African cooperation have been improved intensively since the end of the 1990s. Chinese global players are involved in the mining and traffic sector, Chinese goods for everyday life can be found everywhere in the format and informal retail sector. Have African countries therefore become a new periphery for China suffering under a new unequal economic relationship?
