Description
The Telelabor offers an authentic assembly station available as learn environment in the Internet, on which users can work on practise. Therefore an assembly station for model cars was built up for it. The users develope individual IEC-61131 programs
for given tasks and thereby control the assembly of a model car over long-distance data transmission and video cameras.
In this way programming and automation knowledge are obtained and deepened. For working on the station the user needs a PC with internetconnection.
Principal item of the Telelabor is a java-based IEC 61131 program environment and a webprogramable PLC. This is used to develope programs in Instruction List (IL) language and test them at the station. Currently supported are boolean instructions as
well as standard function modules (RS/SR) with 16/8 digital In/Output.
Control-programming
To get into the basics of the IEC 61131 an interactive and multimedia training progam (WBT), integrated into the Telelabor, is used. Syntax and semantics of the IEC 61131 programming language are described by interactive models. The basic training
system can be downloaded by the user on his PC.
Learners can put their control programs in operation in the SIMULATION MODE using a 3D-model of the assembly station. The 3D-model behaves how the real station. It is represented in a viewer on the website. In the SIMULATION MODE an almost
unlimited number of users can access the Telelabor at the same time and learn. Every user can work independently to the others in his specific programming environment. The complete telelabor including simulation is also available on CD. This makes it
possible to work offline without an internetconnection using a webbrowse
