The Chair of Social Pedagogy, in particular Diversity and Gender, deals with selected dimensions of diversity such as flight, migration, youth and age in addition to gender theory issues and perspectives. Currently, research and teaching are focusing in particular on care practices, anti-feminisms and categorical attribution processes, in each case from a qualitative perspective. In particular, the effects of social power relations and mechanisms of discrimination on different social groups are examined. 

The aim of the research is to gain a deeper understanding of these complex processes and new impulses for the further development of socio-pedagogical practice.
