N2 - This paper introduces a model of a user oriented quality assurance guiding the first phase of the software development process. This model consists of quality characteristics known from the field of book-keeping and a new graphic depiction for business application systems. The graphic depiction which is derived from data flow charts improves communication between the future user of the system and the software developer. The successfull application of the proposed model of quality assurance is dependent on the use of CASE tools which allow a better formal testable quality assurance and, in addition, an easier usage of graphic language
