Wie bisherige Forschungsergebnisse zeigen, hat der institutionelle Kontext, in dem sich ein Unternehmen bewegt, entscheidenden Einfluss auf die Praktiken des Unternehmers. Das vorliegende qualitative Forschungsprojekt erweitert diese Grundlage, indem sie die persönlichen Charakteristika von Unternehmern in den Fokus rückt. Die These lautet: Die Praktiken individueller Unternehmer, situiert in einem gemeinsamen (objektiven) Kontext, werden von diesem nicht in derselben Art und Weise beeinflusst. Eine ebenso wichtige Rolle für die Handlungen spielen persönliche (subjektive) Charakteristika und ihre Wechselwirkung mit dem (objektiven) institutionellen Rahmen.
