Beschreibung

Der neue Masterstudiengang, der im Wintersemester 2008/2009 begonnen hat, ist eine der innovativsten Weiterbildungs- und Forschungspartnerschaften in Deutschland.
Der englischsprachige Masterstudiengang ist unter akademischer Verantwortung der Leuphana in Kooperation mit der Otto Group entwickelt worden. Das maßgeschneiderte Curriculum verbindet die inhaltlichen und formalen Standards einer öffentlich-rechtlichen Hochschule mit den speziellen Erfordernissen eines international agierenden Unternehmens und soll so die Lücken zwischen allgemeinen Studienangeboten an öffentlichen Universitäten, weiterbildenden Seminarprogrammen und der firmeninternen Auftragslehre schließen. Ziel des von Prof. Dr. Markus Reihlen geleiteten Studiengangs ist die berufliche Weiterbildung von Führungskräften bei gleichzeitiger Sicherstellung der Promotionsbefähigung.
Der Studiengang wird durch das Unternehmen vollständig finanziert. An der Kooperation mit der Leuphana sind die Group-Unternehmen OTTO, Hermes Logistik Gruppe, Hermes Warehousing Solutions sowie die EOS Gruppe beteiligt. Die Kooperation zwischen Otto Group und Leuphana ist zunächst auf einen Zeitraum von fünf Jahren ausgerichtet und kann bei Erfolg verlängert werden.
