Die Professur für Englische Sprachwissenschaft beschäftigt sich mit Korpusanalysen als Methode in der Sprechaktforschung, Werbende Textsorten aus interkultureller Perspektive, Angebote und Ablehnungen im irischen Englischen, Varietäten des Englischen aus pragmatischer Perspektive sowie Pragmatik in Lehrwerken des Englischen.
