Nachhaltiges Unternehmertum (sustainable entrepreneurship) und Nachhaltigkeitsinnovationen werden als Phänomen untersucht und als Ansatz zur Nachhaltigkeitstransformation von Märkten und der Gesellschaft weiterentwickelt. Sustainable entrepreneurship ist nicht auf mittelständische Unternehmen (KMU) begrenzt, sondern umfasst Innovations- und Transformationsprozesse der „kreativen Zerstörung“ von Unnachhaltigem für unterschiedliche Arten von Organisationen, Prozessen, Produkten, Produkt-Dienstleistungssystemen und Geschäftsmodellen.
