Further partners are the Center for the Study of Culture and Society (CSCS), based in Bangalore (India) and KHOJ International Artists' Association, based in Delhi (India).

The first staging of ASSiST, in August 2010 in Gabrovo (Bulgaria), focused on the theme "Walking and places: Building transformations", exploring walking-based methodologies for transdisciplinary action research.
The first edition of ASSiST was supported by the Asia Europe Foundation (ASEF) and the municipality of Gabrovo (Bulgaria).
